Darren was a very soft-spoken boy at 14 but overcame all odds to become the World Champion of Public Speaking at 27 years old.
He had to survive many rounds of competition throughout 6 months before being able to enter the finals held in Washington, DC.
He emerged #1 out of 30,000 speakers from 42 countries worldwide and was awarded World Champion of Public Speaking in 2016.

Darren also received his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons) from the National University of Singapore, Faculty of Law in 2014 and his Master of Laws (LL.M.), with a specialization in Corporate and Finance in 2015. He has completed and passed his Part B Bar examinations, Singapore Institute of Legal Education and has been admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2016.

Despite being a trained lawyer, his mission is to help others who were once in his shoes. To help working professionals develop their speaking confidence and voice so that they can create new opportunities in their life. This is why he also started the Public Speaking Academy in Singapore since 2009.
